Welcome
Welcome to Newtown 2010
The World Cup has come and gone, as did thousands of soccer fans who came to see the games on the big screen at Newtown, and soak up the songs and dances of the Newtown festival. Many first-time visitors discovered that Newtown IS the cultural hub of Jozi - perhaps even of Africa - and that there is culture here all year round.
Where else can you find so much entertainment in one five minute walk? If you have still not been to Newtown and don't know what to do now that the world's biggest sporting event is over, give it a try! It's clean, safe and you are bound to find SOMETHING that blows your hair back ...!!
